At present, too many individuals or small businesses with a legal problem in England and Wales struggle to get the expert advice they need.

To help address this issue, Nesta Challenges and the Solicitors Regulation Authority are working in partnership to deliver the Legal Access Challenge.
This is a £500,000 prize to encourage innovative technology solutions that will help individuals and SMEs to better understand and resolve their legal problems.
Eight finalists have each secured £50,000 and non-financial support to develop their solutions, and in April 2020 two will be named winners, receiving a further £50,000 to invest in their products.
