London Law Fair 2020
The London Law Fair is designed to encourage more diversity in people joining the legal sector. If you’re a student thinking about a career in legal services, it’s a chance for you to get practical careers advice from practising lawyers.
The event is usually hosted at the Law Society, and is London’s only ‘open access’ law fair. Due to restrictions on events, this year the fair will instead involve a range of online activities.
Live webinar: Wednesday 2 December
On Wednesday 2 December from 2pm to 4pm, we’ll be hosting a live webinar featuring two interactive panel discussions:
- how to develop your career in a pandemic
- diversity panel
This event is free to attend for all law students, recent graduates and those considering a career in law.
We’ll be running one-on-one CV clinics between students and careers advisers.
To be eligible to attend, you must register for the live webinar on 2 December.
We’ll send all delegates information on how to request a CV clinic appointment in November.
Nadine Lewis, a careers consultant at Loughborough University London, has recorded an on-demand webinar on completing applications for training contracts for solicitors and barristers. This covers:
- identifying firms/organisations to apply to
- best ways to complete application forms
- sample questions from applications, what they really mean and how to best answer them
Thank you to all the firms, universities and other organisations that have participated in previous years. Due to the current restrictions we cannot hold an exhibition to meet recruiters face to face, but you can use the links below to contact organisations and find out more about working or studying with them.
