Law Society Property Section conveyancing convention 2023

This year’s Property Section conveyancing convention will focus on three topics. The first session will focus on the Building Safety Act and fire safety, and the second session will focus on climate change. The third session will focus on PII and the impacts of the Building Safety Act on PII.

The Law Society Property Section conveyancing convention 2023 will focus on three topics.

The first session will focus on the Building Safety Act and fire safety. This session will offer practical advice on the Building Safety Act and will cover how to identify high risks and relevant buildings, the enquiries to raise, and reporting to clients and lenders.

The second session will focus on climate change. This session will be used as an exploratory session to discuss what members would find useful in future guidance for property practitioners. The session will discuss the aims and purposes of the guidance and how the guidance can be used for now, until specific guidance for property practitioners is released.

The third topic will focus on PII and the impacts of the Building Safety Act on PII.
