Law Society quality marks

  • If you have not had to seek legal advice before, it can be difficult to choose the right legal practice or lawyer to help with your legal issue.

The Law Society's quality marks can help you find legal advice quickly and confidently. These accreditations award a quality mark to legal practices and individuals who meet the highest standards of technical expertise and client service in specific areas of law. All of our quality marks are voluntary.

When you see our quality mark logos, you'll know that the technical legal skills and client service standards have been rigorously and independently tested by the Law Society. Click on the name of the quality mark below to find out more about each of our accreditations.

Use our Find a Solicitor website to find your nearest accredited legal practice or lawyer.

  • Making a complaint

The solicitor will give you details about its complaints procedure. If you want to complain about your solicitor you must use this procedure first. If you are still not happy when you have done that you can contact the Legal Ombudsman on 0300 555 0333 or at the Legal Ombudsman website. The Legal Ombudsman handles complaints about solicitors.

If you have a complaint about a member of one of our quality mark accreditations, please email us or telephone us on 020 7316 5550.
