UK Supreme Court search for new president

18 February 2019

The UK Supreme Court has launched the competition for the appointment of Lady Hale’s successor as president of the Supreme Court.

Applications are also being sought for two new Supreme Court justices, following the upcoming retirements of Lord Carnwath and Lord Wilson.

We encourage all members who are eligible to apply for these prestigious appointments.

Applicants must have held high judicial office for at least two years or have been a practitioner for 15 years.

Even if you are not interested in applying, you may well know someone who is, so please share these opportunities widely.

More information about the roles of president and justice and the application process is available to download below.
