Using our library service remotely is easy. Our team of experienced law librarians can help you ﬁnd the information you need by phone or email.
- You can reclaim 30 minutes of your day. Call, email or drop in to use the free 30 minute library legal enquiry service.
- Our Lawdocs service can email, fax or post copies of most material within our collection to anywhere in the world. With an easy pay as you go service, this service is available to members and non-members. We have two levels of service to suit your requirements, so if you need something within the hour or by the end of day we can help. - You can use our Library Knowledge Base to get fast, easy access to the library catalogue which provides a guide to our extensive legal collection and corporate archive. Find out more about our remote library services.
2 Get your questions answered anywhere with our Practice Advice Service helpline
Our Practice Advice Service is a free and confidential helpline for members and employees of member firms, staffed by solicitors. It deals with approximately 35,000 enquiries each year on practice issues from anti-money laundering, conveyancing, private client, litigation, solicitors' costs, to professional indemnity insurance.
We take calls on client care and compliance and regularly answer questions on ownerships of papers and document storage. We assist members through our Q&As.

3 Engage with your regional representative
Our 13 relationship managers are responsible for responding to the evolving needs of 140,000+ of our members. We work with individual members and firms, to better represent their views, increase awareness of our services and activities, and add value to members' businesses.
Due to the ever-changing business and legal environment our members operate in, our relationship management team has an extremely broad remit. We gather information about members' needs and goals, solicit feedback, and help to design our products and services that better meet our members' needs.
Our relationship managers are currently engaging with members on topics including legal professional privilege, legal aid, judicial appointments for solicitors, diversity and inclusion, and GDPR.

4 Continue your legal education with our free webinars
You can learn wherever you are with the Professional Development Centre's free webinars. Our Centre has been designed specifically to meet your learning and development needs and will help you to comply with the SRA's continuing competence regime.
You can discover and complete online courses, webinars, bite-sized learning, and podcasts. We will provide training suggestions tailored to your areas of interest and competence needs. Some free webinar topics are "Understanding the new criminal legal aid tender process and contracts", and "How to define your own career key performance indicators (KPIs)". 5 Keep up to date with your interests on My Law Society: practice notes
My Law Society is your online account with us. This is where you access practice notes, bookmark your favourite content and personalise your homepage by telling us your professional interests.
You can set your contact details and marketing preferences, which we use to get in touch with you. You can also access and personalise your Find a Solicitor profile. We will be adding more to My Law Society in the coming years so that it becomes your one-stop-shop for Law Society support. Log in to My Law Society.
6 Join Sections and divisions that reflect your interest
Guided by expert contributors to develop your specialist practice skills and know-how, sections are premium subscription-based packages suitable for both individual and corporate groups.
Our divisions bring together solicitors and other experts with shared interests and provide access to relevant Law Society support and benefits. We offer free member support services based on your demographic or practice type, including in-house, international, junior lawyers, women lawyers, LBGT+ lawyers and more.
