The doors are open for nominations for the 2019 Law Society Excellence Awards to recognise the outstanding achievements of solicitors working in all areas of law across England and Wales.
The Excellence Awards are now in their 13th year and nominations are sought in a range of categories that span the legal sector.
"Every day solicitors across this country demonstrate their commitment to their clients, their community, and to the rule of law," said Law Society president Christina Blacklaws.
"The Excellence Awards celebrate the very best - the winners highlight not just the values of the profession, but the vital role solicitors play in the administration of justice every day."
A new award for exceptional contributions to access to justice is introduced this year.
"This new prize to recognise Excellence in Access to Justice will be a cornerstone of this year’s awards. I'm excited to see the outstanding work from nominees in this challenging area of law," said Christina Blacklaws.
This year there are 22 categories, including eight awards to recognise outstanding individuals. Nominations are open until Friday 3 May.
The shortlist is to be announced on 29 July and the winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Wednesday 23 October.
"The cadre of winners from 2018 was exceptional and each one of them fuelled my pride in the solicitor profession," said Christina Blacklaws.
"If you know an inspirational solicitor who has broken the mould or made an exceptional contribution in their area of law, please nominate them to join the exclusive alumni that are the Excellence Awards winners."
