Accreditation fees

Initial assessment comprises a fee for a mandatory two-day training course plus an application fee. The accreditation period lasts for three years, whereupon a re-accreditation fee will become payable for a renewed three-year membership period.

Mandatory training fee

The two-day course must be completed before an application form is submitted. This is payable direct to the relevant course provider you have selected, when booking the course. The course providers are as follows:

Central Law Training (Manchester and Birmingham)
Peter Edwards Law Training (Hoylake, Wirral)
Mental Health Lawyers Association (London and Leeds)

Application fees

The cost of accreditation is divided into two parts: an application fee and membership fee. At initial accreditation, applicants who meet the initial eligibility checks will be invited to attend an interview at our Chancery Lane office in London. Travelling expenses are not refundable.

A refund of the membership fee will be given to applicants who are not successfully accredited at either initial or re-accreditation.

Please do not make payment when submitting your application. On receipt of your application, the amount payable will be determined and an invoice will be sent to the individual applying for accreditation.
