Court reform programme: events
We are committed to helping you understand and adapt to the changes brought in by the HMCTS court reform programme.
HMCTS are hosting a series of events and we believe your engagement in these is essential to the programme's success. We would encourage you to participate in the events to allow you to provide valuable input and experience, in addition to any questions you may have, to ensure the programme works for you.
HMCTS is in the early stages of a £1 billion six-year reform programme to modernise the courts and tribunals system. They are creating services that are digital by default and design.
We recognise the importance of new technology and modern ways of working provided it does not impact access to justice.
Face-to-face and online events, as well as research sessions, organised by jurisdiction and topic will be held for practising legal professionals. The events will consist of presentations, demonstrations, and question and answer sessions.
These events and research sessions will give you the opportunity to:
- gain a better understanding of the programme
- provide feedback to HMCTS
- help HMCTS understand the needs of courts and tribunals users
- raise questions about the progress of the programme
For those who cannot attend in person, face-to-face events will be live streamed and there will be an interactive question and answer system. Questions can also be emailed in advance.
Upcoming events include the first International Forum on Online Courts and an event on Crime Reform.
Find more information including details of where to register and recordings of previous events can be found on the HMCTS events page.
