Providing legal services in the EU in a no-deal Brexit: What you need to know
If the UK leaves the EU without a withdrawal agreement, the UK becomes a ‘third country’ and loses access to the EU Lawyers’ Directives, which will have an effect on market access and practice rights for England and Wales solicitors looking to practise in the EU.
Law firms may need to restructure or alter their activities on the continent. Practitioners may want to consider options for continuing practice, including the Irish practising certificate, and membership of the Brussels Bar.
