English Law Day in Kazakhstan
We organised English Law Day in Almaty in partnership with the Kazakhstan Bar Association, and the British-Kazakh Law Association. The event promoted legal links and business between both countries, the use of English law, and solicitors’ expertise.
The forum was well attended by over 85 private practitioners, in-house counsel and business representatives from both the UK, Kazakhstan, and the wider CIS region.
The forum provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the latest news and trends from England and Wales (Brexit, artificial intelligence and sophisticated pricing models), mergers and acquisitions transactions, disputes resolution, and what to expect when working with foreign firms on cross-border transactions and disputes.
The forum also aimed to strengthen the relationship between legal practitioners from both countries.
