Preeti Sawhney, international policy adviser (South Asia and ASEAN), and Catherine Brims, international policy adviser (North Asia and the Pacific), also participated.

The panel included:

  • Piusha Bose, counsel, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer

  • Joywin Mathew, partner, DLA Piper Global Law Firm

Ajay Sethi, managing partner at ASA & Associates LLP, gave the keynote address on the recent economic and political developments in India and their likely impact on the economy. He also discussed how businesses can best meet market challenges and avoid regulatory pitfalls.

The panel shared their experiences of the region and discussed the legal business opportunities and challenges, including recent trends, practical aspects for legal regulation, and current opportunities in the market. A Q&A with the audience followed.

Feedback after the event was very positive, mentioning particularly that it was a high-quality, thought-provoking and expertly chaired session. This event will help us forge new relationships and strengthen existing ones in the region.
