Tender opens for criminal legal aid contracts 2022

The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) is inviting tenders for the opportunity to deliver publicly funded criminal legal aid services from 1 October 2022.

The deadline is 5pm on Tuesday 30 November.

The tender is open to both existing contract holders and new entrants.

Applicants may tender to carry out contracts in the following classes of work:

  • criminal investigations and criminal proceedings (including appeals and reviews)
  • prison law (including appeals and reviews)
  • appeals and reviews only

How to apply

You’ll need to submit your tender online through the e-Tendering system.

To submit a complete tender, organisations must submit a response to both:

  • the selection questionnaire
  • the invitation to tender
