Annual general meeting for Law Society members – October 2021
The 2021 Law Society annual general meeting (AGM) will be a hybrid event, held at 2.15pm on Thursday 14 October, and followed by the inauguration of the Law Society president.

To register to attend, either virtually or in person, email AGM2021@lawsociety.org.uk by Monday 11 October.
All members of the Law Society can attend and vote on tabled motions about how the organisation is run.
The order of business will include:
- Council election results for 2021
- changing the rules to allow AGMs to take place virtually
- our position on the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s decision to close down the Solicitors Indemnity Fund

Non-members are also welcome to attend and observe the AGM but cannot vote on motions.
Council elections
Successful candidates from the 2021 Council elections and our new deputy vice-president will officially take office at the end of the AGM.
Inauguration of Law Society president
The AGM will be followed by the inauguration of Law Society president I. Stephanie Boyce, on Thursday 14 October at 5pm.
It will include a look back at Stephanie’s achievements to date as the 177th Law Society president, and a speech where she will look ahead to her plans for the rest of her term.
The inauguration will be open to all through a live stream on our YouTube channel, and will also be available on demand after the event.
