JPLC planning law online conference, 11 September 2020

The Joint Planning Law Committee (JPLC) is unable to run its usual Joint Planning Law Conference at Oxford this year, due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic.

Instead we hope you can join us for a special online event, ‘Not the Oxford Conference’, sponsored by Sweet & Maxwell, on Friday 11 September 2020 from 2pm to 4pm.

The event is free and is suitable for planning professionals at all career stages.

It will feature some of the speakers and topics that we had planned to address the conference in Oxford, condensed into a two-hour online event.

The programme includes:

  • the role of planning in rebalancing the economy – the Right Honourable The Lord Kerslake FAcSS
  • meeting the net zero challenge and preparing for climate change – Baroness Brown of Cambridge DBE FREng FRS (Julia King)
  • legal update – Jonathan Easton, Kings Chambers

The JPLC is made up of the Law Society, the Royal Town Planning Institute, the Bar Council and RICS.
