Ahead of each Senedd election, we publish our manifesto setting out the key priorities needed to support and strengthen the legal profession in Wales.
These priorities are shaped through engagement with our members, ensuring they reflect the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
During the election period, we also engage with political parties and candidates to ensure the profession’s voice is heard and our priorities are understood.
Our headline asks of the next Welsh Government are to:
- Introduce funded legal Level 7 apprenticeships, matching the offer available in England over the past decade
- Establish a dedicated Department of Justice within the Welsh Government
As well as being a call to action for policymakers, our manifesto is a roadmap for how we can work together to build a stronger, more resilient legal sector in Wales.
