Jeremy Myers is the Law Society Council member for Liverpool.

A lifelong Merseysider, Jeremy’s local roots were developed through his education at Merchant Taylors’ in Crosby and degrees in Law and Master of Business Administration at Liverpool University.

Before qualifying in 1991, Jeremy developed a keen interest in commercial dispute resolution.

This interest has developed over the years in practice, giving him wide experience in debt recovery, professional negligence and probate disputes, plus landlord and tenant cases. He is a proponent of using mediation for early settlement.

In pro bono work, Jeremy has advised in Citizens Advice.

Jeremy was president of Liverpool Law Society (2022-23). His current membership in the Liverpool Law Society’s Civil Litigation Committee gives him a vital insight into legal developments.

Outside the law, Jeremy’s main activities are rambling, yacht racing and amateur theatre support work. He is an active supporter of a local spinal injuries charity and is a regular blood donor.
