Mark Newby
Council member for Yorkshire
Mark Newby was admitted in 1993 and gained higher rights of audience (criminal) in 2004. Mark is a principal member in Quality Solicitors Jordans, based in Doncaster and Sheffield.
Mark’s principal area of practice is miscarriage of justice work and defending false allegations, which has allowed him to be involved in helping to quash a number of notorious miscarriages of justice.
As a result, he regularly speaks and writes on miscarriage and justice issues.
Mark has served on the Doncaster & District Law Society committee for a number of years and is the current president.
Away from the law, Mark served as national honorary secretary of the National Association of Round Tables Great Britain and Ireland for five years and sits on several charitable trusts that promote community service work by young people around the world.
