Marta Sánchez Merino is a dual-qualified lawyer (Spain and England & Wales) with City of London experience in cross-border commercial, corporate and insolvency law.

Passionate about collaboration across jurisdictions, Marta fosters business relationships by connecting civil and common law systems through legal initiatives, dialogue and professional networks.

Marta’s passion for international business law began while studying part of her degree at Lancaster University in the north of England.

She then prepared for a judicial career in Spain, developing a deep understanding of the civil law system.

The pandemic, together with an opportunity in London, pivoted her career toward international practice, specialising in commercial, corporate and insolvency law for multinational companies.

Marta is highly active in the legal community:

  • Involved in Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK
  • Vice chair of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Westminster and Holborn Law Society (WHLS)
  • Leads the initiative International Legal Evenings for the WHLS International Committee

She was appointed as an ad hoc legal expert for the European Union, contributing to international legal projects.
