Conveyancing protocol

16 May 2018

The Conveyancing Protocol sets out preferred practice in residential conveyancing transactions of freehold and leasehold property.

Use of this Protocol aims to ensure process consistency for your clients and increased efficiency in all your transactions.

The Law Society has recently collated your views on proposed revisions to this Conveyancing Protocol arising from:

  • changes in the law or regulations
  • issues that can create difficulties in practice
  • matters that may be the subject of change in the future
