Colm Ó Cinnéide

Colm O'Cinneide is professor of constitutional and human rights law at the Faculty of Laws, University College London (UCL).
He has published extensively in the areas of comparative constitutional law, equality and non-discrimination law, and human rights law.
Colm is a graduate of University College Cork, King's Inns and the University of Edinburgh, and served as vice president of the European Committee on Social Rights between 2007 and 2016.
He has also acted as specialist legal adviser of the Joint Committee on Human Rights of the UK Parliament and the Women and Equalities Committee of the House of Commons.
Colm was nominated by the Irish government as a candidate for election as a judge of the European Court of Human Rights in 2024.
