Practising in South Africa
Foreign lawyers can establish under home title. This is the title granted to you by your home jurisdiction: for example, a solicitor of England and Wales.
Foreign lawyers can practise home and international law. They can also practise:
- international finance
- project management
- arbitration
Only South African attorneys can take part in litigation, appear in court and carry out conveyancing transactions.
