Lawdocs document delivery service

Lawdocs is our library’s document delivery service. You can use it to get legal documents sent to you on the same day or faster, including:

  • precedents
  • cases
  • journal articles
  • legislation
  • commentary

It's a pay-as-you-go service and does not require a subscription. You do not need to be a member to use this service.

Ordering documents

Place an order by:

Lawdocs offers same day delivery or faster. You can choose from two levels of service:

  • standard – we’ll aim to supply orders within three hours of payment
  • premium express – we’ll email or fax your order to you within 45 minutes of payment

Cost

Prices start at £27 + VAT, including any copyright fees. We supply material under licence from the Copyright Licensing Agency.

*Some items cost more due to high copyright fees. When you place an order our staff will tell you if the item will cost more.

We'll charge higher prices for certain items if necessary, to cover reasonable costs. If the item is not included in the above list, we’ll decide the cost.

Paying for your order

Phone

We accept credit or debit card payment over the phone. All major cards are accepted.

Cheque

We also accept cheques made payable to ‘the Law Society’ which can be posted to our library with your order.

Regular customers

If you’re a regular customer, we offer alternative payment methods.
