Get Involved provides solicitors with flexible opportunities to come together and share their knowledge and experiences, to address the key issues affecting them.  

We’re harnessing the expertise of our community to find new and better ways to work together and deliver our ambitious plan for the future of the profession. 

Those with active membership to The Law Society and with a verified MyLS account can join Get Involved.

Volunteering as part of Get Involved is an unpaid opportunity but you will be able to claim any out-of-pocket expenses which are incurred relating to an opportunity you are involved in. Guidance on how to claim can be found here:  Claiming expenses online on Certify | The Law Society

The time required will be specific to the opportunity you may be involved in. Time scales range from less than an hour to complete a one of survey to committing to a few hours a month on a regular basis for some of our working groups. Time requirements for each opportunity will be made clear. 

The time it takes for checks to be carried out will always be kept to a minimum. If you are selected on to a Working Group an SRA check will be carried out and this can take up to one month. We will be sure to keep you informed on the progress of these checks if we incur any delays.
