On 24 December 2020 the UK and the EU reached a new Trade and Cooperation Agreement. This impacts how solicitors and law firms provide services and their establishment within the EU. It will also have consequences for practice areas such as intellectual property law, anti-money laundering and VAT. We're analysing the text and will provide you with further information as soon as possible. The agreement does not cover civil or commercial judicial cooperation or family law, where our earlier guides are still relevant.
