Pro bono manual

Updated in 2020, the pro bono manual is a practical guide to developing a law firm pro bono programme.

The manual, along with the pro bono guide for in-house solicitors and the legal aid guide for pro bono clinics, is part of a series of resources developed by us with help from solicitors. It has been compiled by law firms to enhance and support the provision of pro bono services.

The manual can be used as a best practice reference by anyone providing pro bono work. It’s aimed at firms, but much of the content is also relevant to in-house solicitors.

The chapters in the manual describe a variety of stages which can help develop a pro bono programme that will be sustainable and reliable. We provide helpful tips, ideas and resources that you can adapt to suit your individual organisation.

Contents
