Claire graduated in 2004 with an LLB from the University of Newcastle and went on to complete her LPC at the College of Law in York.
Claire trained in north Cumbria with a high street firm and was seconded for six months of her training contract to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s in-house legal team.
Since qualifying, Claire has worked in family law, dispute resolution and now specialises in property work.
Claire has always valued the support of the Law Society and has been involved in local law societies since leaving law school.
As a trainee, Claire was a committee member for the Cumbria Trainee Solicitors Group (now Cumbria Junior Lawyers Division), and their president in 2006/7. On qualification Claire became a member of Carlisle and District Law Society, leaving only when she moved back to South Cumbria in 2015.
She now is a member of the Westmorland Law Society committee and is currently part way through her term as president.
