Guy Goodings was admitted as a solicitor in 1983, becoming a partner two years later. Guy retired as a partner this year but continues to be a consultant with the firm of Alderson Law LLP.
Guy Goodings has been a general practitioner throughout his career, latterly concentrating on child care and family law.
He was president of Newcastle upon Tyne Law Society in 2006 and a committee member for seven years.
He has been a member of the Law Society's Children Panel for over 20 years and he holds higher rights (civil).
At the time of retiring as a partner, he was compliance officer for legal practice, money laundering reporting officer, legal aid lead and senior responsible officer..
He is married with three children and two grandchildren.
