Sushila Abraham has been a lawyer for over 30 years.

During the early years of her career, after a master's of laws from the University of London, she worked at different law firms in central London.

Sushila has been working in Surrey for nearly 27 years, and for the last 18 years has been running her own practice in Surbiton.

Sushila was a legal complaints officer at the Law Society before the Office of the Legal Ombudsman was created.

During her year as president of the Surrey Law Society (SLS), she worked to involve young solicitors in the activities of the SLS and to promote their interests.

During her chairship of the Sole Practioners Group, and thereafter as an executive committee member, she has attended and continued to attend meetings with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
