UK subsidy control regime

Since 4th January 2023 the UK’s new subsidy control regime has meant that public authorities can give subsidies tailored to their needs, to drive economic growth while minimising distortion to UK competition and complying with our international obligations.

Nine months into the regime – this is an opportunity to hear from the Department for Business and Trade on recent developments including additional guidance affecting subsides in the UK and relevant case law as well as hear from the Competition and Markets Authority on key issues and recurrent themes arising from its role under the regime. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
