Training

WIQS logoOur Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS) accreditation is a best practice quality mark for wills and estate administration advice.

If your practice is accredited under WIQS, you must complete mandatory training if you’re either:

  • the senior responsible officer (SRO)
  • a relevant person working in a wills, probate or estate administration department

Core training

The SRO and all relevant persons must complete core protocol training within six months of your practice being accredited for the first time.

You only need to take the core training that’s relevant to your role. For example, if you advise clients on wills, you should only complete the will drafting protocol course.

If a new relevant person joins a WIQS-accredited practice, they must complete the core training within six months of their start date.

The price is £35 + VAT per course for WIQS-accredited practices.
