Influencing for impact

  • As the voice of the profession, we represent solicitors in Westminster, Cardiff, Brussels and with other governments across the world.

We work for law reform in the interest of both the profession and the public by influencing government, regulators and those who shape the law and legal market.

  • Campaigns

The Law Society campaigns on behalf of the profession on topics of importance within the legal sector.

    Human rights

Our human rights work supports the independence of the justice system and the legal profession as well as international and domestic law reform.

    Our influencing work

Our public affairs work is at the heart of the Law Society's work influencing government, parliament and key stakeholders in the UK

Our Regulatory Affairs Unit represents members of all issues relating to the regulation of solicitors.

  • As a solicitor, I want the Law Society to stick up for solicitors and be vocal in defending our work. Being a member of the Society makes you feel as though you have a body that's looking out for your interests. The Society does a great job of fighting solicitors' corners.
