HMCTS crime reform event

18 January 2019

HMCTS is holding a face-to-face event on the crime area of their reform programme.

The event will take place on Thursday 24 January from 5.30pm to 7pm at the Bristol Magistrates' Court on Marlborough Street.

The event will include an overview of the latest crime reform developments, including live demonstrations.

This event presents an opportunity for members to learn more about the reform programme, how it may affect the way they practice in the future and ask HMCTS questions.

We encourage participation with the session as we believe that solicitors have valuable input and experience that can help shape the crime reform programme.

During the session, you'll find out how the reforms will:

  • support digital working throughout the criminal courts
  • enable participants in the criminal justice system to work from the same information to reduce duplication of effort
  • introduce more consistent working practices.

Spaces are limited and will be prioritised for practising legal professionals, professional court users, CPS and police representatives.

Elements of the event will be recorded for publishing on GOV.UK afterwards, alongside presentations delivered to attendees.
