Dr Funke Abimbola MBE
Founder, Austen Bronte ConsultancyDr Funke Abimbola qualified as a corporate solicitor in 2000, later becoming a diversity and inclusion volunteer for the Law Society of England and Wales.
She spent the first 12 years of her career working as a corporate solicitor within four law firms.
Subsequently, she’s worked within the global pharmaceutical industry for almost a decade. Dr Funke Abimbola has held several C-suite roles at Roche including being general counsel and company secretary, compliance officer, data protection, head of financial compliance & UK diversity and inclusion lead, amongst others.
Dr Abimbola is a recognised global diversity, equity, and inclusion leader with a strong track record in the field.
She founded the Austen Bronte Consultancy in September 2020. The consultancy’s main goal is to improve leadership by leveraging the impact of diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity across the business world. Clients include many global organisations such as Johnson and Johnson, Macquarie Bank, Hiscox, Covington and Burling, Booking.com and REPL Worldwide.
