Saima Hirji
Council member for West London
Admitted to the roll in 2006, Saima Hirji has practised in the field of professional regulation for the past 12 years.
Saima is head of policy and legislation at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), having previously undertaken a variety of specialist roles including as a regulatory advocate and policy adviser.
Saima is a member of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion committee and chair of the College of Optometrists external appeals panel.
