Can a will be witnessed remotely?

Has the temporary process of video-witnessing wills brought in during the COVID-19 pandemic been extended?

The legislation on remote witnessing has temporarily been extended to 31 January 2024.

This is to support vulnerable people who need to self-isolate, or in case of further restrictions in the future.
